Welcome to the Message Board for Tokay Lodi High Schools Class of 1974!
This is the place to tell everyone about your life since high school. Share your accomplishments, activities, tell everyone about your family, etc.
Have you lost track of one of our classmates and would like to reconnect with them? Post a message and perhaps they will read it and get in touch with you!
Want to post a tribute to one of our classmates or a teacher? Again, this is the place.
ENJOY!

Thanks to all of you who have kept our class going. I enjoyed viewing the pictures that are posted on the website. I hope to be at the next reunion. I live with my family in the Denver, CO metro area. I'd love to be in touch with old classmates.

This is my first attempt at posting on a web forum, so bear with me. I'm not even sure I'm in the right place.
First, I was happy to get the email about this website. I didn't make the 30th reunion, so it was good to see the pictures (although I must admit I recognized only a few people).
I was surprised at the number of folks who have passed on, especially Ken Kinonutsa, who I worked closely with on the Tokay Press and in student government, and Lori Hansen. Can anyone fill me in on what happened to them? Are their deaths very recent?
Thanks for the info.

My fingers got on the wrong keys. I was asking about Ken Kinonutsa.

Hello former classmates all! So glad to have this possibility to get in touch again! This reaches you from faraway Switzerland, where I have lived for the past 28 (count 'em!) years. I haven't been in the US for 11 years so you can guess how well informed I am. Will enjoy any and all responses from you. If you're out our way, please let me know. There's always room to roll out a sleeping bag! Who knows anything about Randall (Randy) King or Birgit Reisinger? Thanks for your info.

I was graciously referred here by a close friend. What a joy to see some familiar faces. Since 1977 I've bounced around the globe with the Army; Kentucky, Germany, Colorado, Korea, Israel, the DEEEP south, Rome, Kuwait, Iraq and now am (hopefully) settled in Colorado Springs. Anyone can reach me at magicetc@adelphia.net. I would LOVE to catch up.

I remember you, (ok, after getting out the high school annual)! I also live in the Denver metro area and have for about 20 years. I guess this is home. I was married to my high school sweetie for 28 years but he passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I have a 29 year old daughter that also lives here with her husband - no grandkids!! It would be great to chat with you sometime. I live close to Cherry Creek State Park and work in Centennial. Drop me a line and let me know what you are up too and about your family! I can be reached at dingerski6@aol.com

I finally figured out how to register on our message board! It is nice to see familier names already posting. Thank you Janie Hickok Siess for putting together this website. I hope it will help get the word out for the next reunion. 2009 will be here before we know it. I live in Lodi, but a couple of years ago we took a family vacation which included the Denver/Colorado Springs area. You guys who live out there live in a beautiful place. I am busy as always with 17 and 14 year old daughters. This being the 50th anniversary of our births, mine was on the 17th of May. 50 wasn't so bad, but I don't know how I am going to feel about the big 60 in ten years. Well I am not going to press my luck writing too much on my first posting so bye for now! Brian Kanegawa dsnyrr@jps.net

Hi Brian, First of all, thank you and everyone else for all your hard work! I really enjoyed looking at the reunion pictures. Class of 74 - YOU ALL LOOK GREAT!! I am going to give it my best shot to make it to the next one! You were right about Colorado, it is so beautiful and seeing the 4 seasons is almost magical. Although, I must admit, my first year here, every time it just began to snow, I told my boss, I have to go home - it's snowing. He finally said that I do not get to go home every time it snows! After 20 years of snow, now I don't even think about it. I just bought a condo, that is across the street (I say street like I am talking about Elm St. - actually it is a 6 lane road) from one of our state parks (Cherry Creek State Park). I get up in the morning and look across the 6 lanes to normally see deer at the park. The mountains are in the background and it has the most beautiful sunsets imaginable! It is a great reminder of God's great handiwork! If only he/she would do something about the darn traffic! I worked at Rocky Flats Environmental Site for about 6 years until we finally closed it down and made it safe. It was a bomb factory in the 50's. They actually made the triggers for the bombs with plutonium. We made it safe again (or so they say??) and it has become a game refuge. I am very proud of having been a part of the clean-up. It was on the top ten terrorist's hit lists World is a little bit safer for our children here in Colorado now. I would love to hear from anyone - please feel free to email me at dingerski6@aol.com. Take care and know you are all in my thoughts! Kathy

Hi to Tokay and Lodi classmates! My daughter just graduated from Lodi High and the all-night party was like a small reunion! Local parents who were my classmates helped at the party and I had a great time. Glad to have my kid through high school! Another classmate, Richard Dean, just made it through the primary election for Board of Supervisors. Way to go, Richard! Linda
